Job summary

The Town of Caledon is seeking a casual General Programs Instructor I - Camps to deliver a variety of programs for preschool, youth, adults, and adults 55+. Located at Caledon East Community Complex, you will prepare materials, lead activities, and maintain records under the supervision of the Programmer, General Programs.

Ideal candidates hold Intermediate First Aid and CPR-C, with a minimum of one year of related experience and the HIGH FIVE Principles certification as an asset.

Qualifications

• Current certification of Intermediate First Aid and CPR-C.
• Experience delivering programs to preschool, youth, adults, or 55+.
• High Five certification is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with and/or prepare and implement program content as outlined by the Town.
• Prepare course materials, facilities, teaching materials, and equipment.
• Prepare outlines, lesson plans and materials for participants.
• Provide program instruction and leadership at appropriate skill level.
• Perform administrative tasks (attendance, reports, etc.).
• Maintain composure in escalated situations and report incidents.
• Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
