Job summary

CareerBeacon in Moncton, NB is seeking a General Production Worker (Plant) to support drying & sanitation and packaging of cannabis products. You will follow SOPs, assist with harvesting, perform quality checks, and maintain equipment.

This role requires steel-toe boots, ability to stand long shifts, and attention to detail. Shifts are rotational: 6:45am-6:45pm or 2pm-2am. N95 mask and clean shave policies apply in the Drying & Sanitation department.

Qualifications

• Prior packaging experience is an asset.
• Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is an asset.
• Must wear steel-toe boots; all other PPEs provided.
• Criminal record check required.

Responsibilities

• Process dried cannabis per established procedures.
• Dispense dried cannabis into packaging with accurate labeling and records.
• Assist with plant harvesting following proper procedures and equipment use.
• Conduct verification and quality control activities as required.
• Clean and maintain drying and packaging equipment.
• Contribute to SOP improvements for processing and packaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Overview:

This role involves accurate packaging, quality check and standard operating procedure for handling dried cannabis plant. Shifts could be 6;45am-6:45pm or 2pm-2am whichever is assigned to you as scheduled.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process dried cannabis in accordance with established procedures.
• Dispense dried cannabis into primary packaging, ensuring accurate product labeling and thorough record-keeping.
• Assist with plant harvesting by following proper procedures and using appropriate equipment.
• Conduct verification and quality control activities as required.
• Perform cleaning and maintenance of dried cannabis processing and packaging equipment.
• Contribute to the optimization of standard operating procedures related to processing and packaging.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Prior experience in packaging is considered an asset.
• Experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments is an asset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain focus in busy, high-traffic work settings.
• Comfortable wearing hairnets and beard nets as required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Must have steel-toe boots - all other PPEs will be provided.
• A criminal record check is required for this role.

Drying & Sanitation Department Requirements:

• Drying & Sanitation department requires N95 Mask & Clean shave if assigned (mandatory)
