If you are a licensed GP from the UK, Ireland, Australia or the USA, we can guide you through the application process for this very desirable position on an island near Vancouver.

Other Requirements:

• A love of nature. You will be surrounded by some of the nicest parks and beaches in BC.
• You must enjoy hiking, sailing, kayaking, whale watching, and even nearby skiing.
• It will be great if you like fresh salmon, fresh halibut, clams, prawns and more.
• Easy-going attitude towards life. The patients are on “island time.”
• Desire to practice medicine without rushing patients.
• An interest in treating some First Nations patients who live on the island.
• This practice is on an island with a population of 2500 residents, yet you are 15 minutes from a mid-size city of 40,000 residents with all major stores, places of worship, numerous restaurants and really friendly people.
• You can choose to live on the island or in the nearby city. The cost of housing is relatively inexpensive.
• The current doctor is retiring and you will assume the roster.

Compensation: The current doctor has been earning $400,000 CDN annually plus patient panel payments, after overhead contribution (split).

The local health authority offers many financial incentives and we will help you apply for them.

Start date: August/September 2026 – just in time to register children for school and to enjoy the summer/fall.
