Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a General Merchandise Associate to deliver friendly customer service, keep a clean, organized sales floor, and support stocking and sales activities across the general merchandise area.

You will help customers with product selection, assist with floor coverage, merchandising, and safety. The role offers flexible shifts, with minimum pay starting at CAD 17.45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an Excellent Customer Experience: Provide friendly, professional customer service; assist with product selection; promote products and services; help locate merchandise; resolve or refer concerns.
• Sales Floor Coverage and Team Support: Cover assigned areas of the sales floor and assist with Front End coverage; communicate with colleagues to ensure floor coverage and meet customer needs.
• Merchandising, Zoning, and Recovery: Zone areas to keep the floor clean and organized; move feature merchandise to its modular location; recover merchandise from the Customer Service desk and other areas.
• Stocking and Modular Execution: Stock merchandise and picks; complete downstocking; apply product protection; set and complete modulars, including flex modulars and new shelf caps.
• Safety, Cleanliness, and Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, hazard-free work environment by following policies; complete safety logs; ensure displays and fixtures are secure.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
