Job summary

Indigo Books & Music is seeking a General Manager to lead store operations, drive sales, and ensure exceptional employee and customer experiences. The role focuses on coaching a high-performing team, aligning with Indigo's mission, and delivering profit and growth targets in a dynamic retail environment.

You will model Indigo’s beliefs, engage with community events, and foster a customer-centric culture while ensuring health and safety standards across the store.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred or equivalent
  • 3+ years of management experience in a retail environment; experience leading leaders
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques

Qualifications

Experience Required

  • College degree preferred or equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years of management experience in a retail environment; experience leading leaders
  • Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
  • Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Québec
