The Opportunity

Were hiring a hands-on results-driven General Manager to lead the team at our Deerfoot City location in Calgary this high-impact role youll manage a multi-million-dollar operation lead a passionate retail team and ensure an exceptional customer experience.

You'll oversee everything from team development and financial performance to compliance merchandising and daily operations. If youre a big-picture thinker who also thrives in the details this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities
  • People Leadership: Hire train coach and inspire a high-performing retail team
  • Set clear priorities lead team huddles and conduct performance reviews
  • Build a culture of accountability and professional growth
  • Retail Operations: Ensure compliance with all provincial liquor laws
  • Manage scheduling payroll merchandising and daily operations
  • Maintain store cleanliness presentation and inventory accuracy
  • Sales & Customer Service: Drive a sales-focused culture through education and customer engagement
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly
  • Lead by example in upselling and promoting exclusive labels
  • Financial Accountability: Manage budgets interpret P&Ls and control labor / inventory costs
  • Monitor KPIs and lead action plans for improvement
  • Partner with Regional and District Managers on financial performance
What You Bring
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a management role (liquor or retail strongly preferred)
  • 3 years in a big-box or high-volume retail environment
  • Proserve certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Post-secondary education an asset
  • Strong leadership communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs work on your feet and work flexible retail hours (evenings / weekends)
  • Passion for liquor industry knowledge (wine / beer / spirits certification is a bonus)
