Job Summary

The General Manager will analyze occupancy, revenue, and other performance reports to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability. They will lead the development and ongoing revision of the business plan, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze occupancy, revenue, and other performance reports to make data-driven decisions that maximize profitability.
  • Lead the development and ongoing revision of the business plan, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts.
  • Prepare and interpret complex operational and financial reports for ownership and corporate teams.
  • Recruit, hire, supervise, and mentor department heads to ensure effective operations in all functional areas.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, develop improvement plans, and provide coaching to the leadership team.
  • Oversee all aspects of talent management, including hiring, training, discipline, open communication, and terminations.
  • Act as a key representative of the property in the local community and with current or potential clients to enhance brand image and business development.
  • Participate in union and labour relations activities, including collective bargaining and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct regular property walkthroughs to monitor cost control, cleanliness, maintenance, and service quality.
  • Attend corporate meetings, sales events, and serve on internal committees as required.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources to ensure consistent handling of employee relations in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintain a visible presence on the property and ensure availability in accordance with operational needs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
