Job description

We are presently searching for our next great team member as a General Maintenance Technician to join our Maintenance team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities
  • Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting/plastering repairs as necessary (i.e. repair faucets, unclog toilets, change bulbs, repair switches, test outlets, etc.)
  • Implement preventative maintenance measures.
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel, and follow safety protocol.
  • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.
  • Keep job sites and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Assist with resort maintenance projects, completing full scope of requirements.
  • Will willingness to learn generator operations and switchover.
  • Snow removal and grounds maintenance of resort areas.
  • Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
  • Must be able to do shift work.
  • Regular on‑call shifts are required.
  • Must have own basic hand tools to perform your daily job.
  • Must have general knowledge of operating skid‑steer / snow removal equipment.
  • Have general mechanical knowledge.
  • Able to work well in a team & independently.
  • Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Excellent hand‑eye coordination.
  • Good communications skills, self‑motivated, mature, dependable & organized.
  • Willing and able to work in all weather conditions.
  • Minimum of a N driver’s license required.
  • Good working knowledge of current WorkSafe BC regulations.

This is a year‑round position with a minimum commitment of 6 months.
