Job summary

• The candidate will be required to transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant either manually or using powered equipment.
• The candidate must check and weigh materials and products.
• The candidate must sort, pack, crate, and package materials and products.
• The candidate must assist machine operators, assemblers, and other workers.
• The candidate will be required to perform other labouring and elemental activities.
• The candidate will be expected to clean machines and surrounding work areas.
• The candidate must be able to operate sandblasting equipment to cut inscriptions or decorative designs in monumental stone.
• The candidate must operate machines to drill holes in stone blocks or slabs in accordance with specifications.
• The candidate must be able to use machines to grind and polish the surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to a specific shape or design and to produce a smooth finish.
• The candidate must be able to use blade or wire saws to cut stone blocks to specific dimensions.
• The candidate must cut materials with power tools or by hand.
• The candidate must inspect the final assembly for finish, labelling, and packaging methods.
• The candidate must transport raw materials, finished products, and packaging materials.
