Job summary

Pioneer Construction, Inc. in Dubreuilville, Ontario is seeking General Labourers for a winter road and site maintenance contract from September 2026 through April 2027. This role involves outdoor, physically demanding work including snow and ice clearance and assisting equipment operators.

You must have a valid G license and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork. The position offers a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation with day and night shifts, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow removal equipment including snowblowers, sweepers, plows, and shovels.

• Clear snow and ice from high-traffic and critical infrastructure areas such as entrances, access roads, and equipment pads.
• Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow/ice accumulation promptly.
• Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
• Perform site clean-up.
• Work 7 days on and 7 days off with day or night shifts as required.
• Follow health and safety policies and wear PPE.

The Opportunity

Pioneer Construction is seeking hardworking and dependable General Labourers to join our team in the Dubreuilville, Ontario area. The initial assignment will support our winter road and site maintenance contract, with work anticipated from September 2026 through April 2027. In this role, you will perform physical outdoor work, including clearing snow and ice, applying de-icing materials, maintaining work areas, and assisting equipment operators and other crew members as required. Opportunities for continued employment beyond the winter maintenance contract may be available based on individual performance, operational requirements, and the availability of suitable work.

Your Day-to-Day

• Operate snow removal equipment including snowblowers, sweepers, plows, and shovels
• Spread salt, sand, and other de-icing materials on roads, walkways, stairs, and work areas
• Assist equipment operators, and other skilled labourers when necessary
• Clear snow and ice from high-traffic and critical infrastructure areas such as entrances, access roads, emergency exits, and equipment pads
• Monitor weather conditions and respond to snow/ice accumulation promptly
• Prepare construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
• Perform site clean-up
• Perform physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, crouching, climbing, crawling, repetitive reaching, and extended periods of standing throughout the workday
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and equipment
• Work in various weather conditions including inclement weather conditions
• Work schedule consists of 7 days on and 7 days off. Day shifts and night shifts as required.
• Work in accordance with all internal, client and regulated health and safety policies, procedures and/or regulations, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This position is governed by a collective agreement. The pay range posted reflects base compensation under the applicable agreement. Placement within the range is based on experience, qualifications, and union provisions. Benefits and other incentives are offered separately.
