Job summary

Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is currently seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to support the construction and installation of instrumentation systems on a large greenfield industrial project near Dawson Creek, BC. This role will involve hands-on field work including tubing, instrument calibration, loop checks, and support for completions and turnover.

Key Details
  • Location: On-Site, Dawson Creek, BC- Greenfield Project
  • Rotation: 15 days on / 6 days off
  • Division: Construction Services – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)
A Day in the Life
  • Install and terminate industrial instrumentation systems including transmitters, switches, solenoids, and analyzers
  • Perform stainless steel tubing runs, impulse lines, and pneumatic hook-ups
  • Work with QA/QC and completions teams to ensure ITRs are completed accurately
  • Interpret P&IDs, loop drawings, and installation standards
  • Identify and resolve field-level issues in coordination with the site leads and foremen
  • Follow all site safety procedures, permits, and hazard controls
  • Assist in pre-commissioning activities and ensure systems are ready for turnover
What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Red Seal Instrumentation and Control Technician certification (or equivalent)
  • 3+ years of industrial construction experience with hands-on installation and loop checks
  • Experience in greenfield construction environments with exposure to large-scale I/O systems
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding P&IDs, loop sheets, and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with QA/QC processes, ITR systems, and tagged turnover strategies
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and documentation
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline field team
  • Willingness to work rotational shifts in a remote jobsite setting
