Job summary

Viking Stables Inc. requires a hands-on livestock and horse care professional at our rural Alberta facility. You will diagnose health issues, groom horses for competitions, and manage daily livestock care and feeding in all weather conditions.

• Prepare a clean, dry area for cows that are calving
• Treat livestock health issues
• Feed and tend animals
• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment
• Carry out a pasture or pen breeding programs
• Ensure farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed
• Maintain livestock performance records
• Maintain quality control and production records
• Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
• Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry
