A leading cancer treatment center in Abbotsford seeks a part-time General Dentist for its Oral Oncology/Dentistry clinic. The ideal candidate will assess and care for cancer patients, especially post-treatment. Required is a DDS/DMD degree and strong interest in oral oncology. The role includes teaching and supervising residents within a multidisciplinary team focused on providing exceptional care to oncology patients.

BC Cancer is seeking applications for a Dentist to work one day a week in the Oral Oncology/Dentistry clinic at the Abbotsford Centre. The Abbotsford Cancer Centre, located in Abbotsford, BC, offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Hematology, Oral Oncology, Palliative care and support services such as Nutrition, Clinical Trials and Patient and Family Counseling. As a dentist at the Abbotsford Cancer Centre, you will be a member of an interdisciplinary team made up of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and other professionals who are passionate about providing health care to Oncology Patients.

Candidates must have a strong interest in oral oncology and strong dental skillset. Candidate should have strong skills in management and care of the medically compromised patient. Also, previous clinical experience with the management and treatment of Head and Neck Cancer patients and experience is preferrable.

Qualifications
  • Degree in DDS/DMD from an accredited academic institution.
  • Hospital based patient care is preferred
