Job summary

Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge is seeking a General Cook to join our brand-new culinary environment as part of a luxury hospitality team. In a kitchen rebuilt for efficiency, you will help prepare and present high-end menus, while upholding our standards of safety and exceptional cuisine.

You will work with a dedicated team in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting, with opportunities to grow within Accor and Fairmont properties.

• Understanding of knife use and safety.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Teamwork with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
• Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards
• Assist in the preparation and service of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standards
• Ensure compliance with hotel EHC policies and hotel standards
• Have full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions
• Ensure proper labeling, dating and storage of all items in the kitchen
• Embrace the Fairmont brand promise and luxury in your role and in all your interactions
• Other duties as assigned
