Overview
  • Position: General Construction Supervisor
  • Location: Happy Valley-Goose Bay, NL A0P 1E0 (On site)
  • Salary: $32.00 per hour / 35 hours per week (Full time, Permanent)
  • Schedule: Early morning, Morning, Day, Evening, Weekend, Flexible hours (Starts as soon as possible)
Responsibilities
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Requisition materials and supplies.
  • Supervise, coordinate and schedule activities of production workers who operate processing machines and fabricate, assemble, finish or inspect plastic or rubber parts and products.
  • Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions.
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and coordinate work activities with other work units.
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers; train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies.
  • Supervise daily activities of floorhands, laborers and helpers.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high school) graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Industry experience: Construction.
