Job summary

Save-On-Foods in New Westminster, BC is hiring a General Clerk. The role involves operating a cash register, sharing product knowledge, maintaining stocked and attractive displays, and ensuring freshness. You will assist customers, handle inquiries, and keep the area clean and safe.

Open availability is preferred to support store needs. Compensation ranges from $18.25 to $21.00 per hour with benefits, pension eligibility, and ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Customer service focus with positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile.
• Retail cash handling and POS operation experience is a plus.
• Ability to stock, rotate, and present products to high standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate a cash register and handle transactions accurately.

You will be responsible for:

• Going the Extra Mile for our customers and fellow team members.
• Operating a cash register.
• Sharing product knowledge with customers.
• Ensuring the department is well stocked and presented.
• Ensuring only the freshest products are displayed.
• Handling customer service inquiries and providing a positive customer experience.
• Cleaning equipment and work area to ensure a safe and sanitary work environment.
• Using a variety of equipment, including knives.

Compensation Details: $18.25 - $21.00 The compensation offered for this position will take into consideration location, education, skills, experience, and other factors.
