Job description
Position Overview

The General Assembler is responsible for assembling parts and components into complete products ensuring accuracy quality and efficiency throughout the process. This role involves following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) using hand tools and machinery and maintaining a clean and organized work area. The ideal candidate will take ownership of their work ensure all assemblies meet specifications and communicate effectively with team members to support production goals.

Responsibilities
  • Read interpret and follow assembly instructions and established SOPs.
  • Collect and prepare all materials components and equipment needed for each task.
  • Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit and alignment of components.
  • Assemble parts into subassemblies and complete products according to specifications.
  • Inspect assembled items to ensure they meet quality and performance standards.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and 5S methodology to maintain a clean organized work area.
  • Record production quantities times and material usage accurately.
  • Report any malfunctions defective parts or quality issues to supervisors.
  • Apply quality control principles and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Support and actively participate in compliance with the ISO 9001 : 2015 Quality Assurance System.
  • Utilize the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system for tracking and documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as required within the context of the role.

Additional Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
  • Overtime may be required during peak production periods.
