About the Opportunity

Our client, a respected non-profit organization serving the local community, is seeking an Accounting Clerk to join their collaborative Finance team. This role plays a meaningful part in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency, all of which directly support programs that make a real difference in people’s lives.

Working closely with the Manager of Finance and internal stakeholders, you’ll contribute to day-to-day accounting operations while supporting monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting. Your Responsibilities
  • You’ll prepare and process bank deposits, receivables, and donation revenue in the ERP system, including taking deposits to the bank when required.
  • In this role, you’ll verify vendor invoices, ensure accurate coding, and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
  • You’ll reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and corporate credit card activity with a high level of accuracy.
  • You’ll assist with cheque and EFT processing, including recurring and accrual journal entries.
  • You’ll compile financial and statistical data for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including audit support.
  • You’ll generate aged AP and AR reports, maintain capital asset records, and support compliance with regulatory and internal controls.
Skills and Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping within a professional environment.
  • College diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial formulas.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of non-profit accounting and CRA charitable donation requirements is an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
