Job summary

RedPico is seeking a GCP Cloud Architect/Engineer to design and implement scalable, cloud-native data solutions for a major Canadian client in Toronto. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, data science teams and governance groups to define requirements and deliver data pipelines on BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Run, and Cloud Functions.

The role emphasizes security, governance and enterprise architecture alignment, with IaC using Terraform and CI/CD via Azure DevOps, in a hybrid onsite

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering cloud-based data platforms and enterprise-scale data solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Advanced experience with BigQuery, including data modeling, optimization, performance tuning and best practices.
• Experience building data processing pipelines using Dataflow with Python.
• Experience with Pub/Sub for event-driven architectures and data integration.
• Experience with Cloud Storage and Firestore.
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of cloud security, governance and compliance requirements.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, architects and governance teams to define and implement solutions.
• Experience creating architecture documentation, integration designs and technical standards.

We are looking for a GCP Cloud Architect/Engineer to design and implement scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform for our client BMO. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data science teams and technical governance groups to define requirements, design integration patterns and deliver cloud-native data solutions. You will design modern data pipelines, enable data-driven decision making and make sure solutions align with enterprise architecture, security and governance standards.

Location: Toronto, ON

Work Model: Hybrid, 4 days onsite

Employment Type: Contract

Start: around November 2, 2026 (initial term to December 31, 2026)
