Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) invites applications for the Entertainment Arts - Game Development Instructor. The program seeks to establish a list of qualified faculty to teach on a per-semester basis at the Richmond campus, online or in-person, with workload options.

Applicants should have senior game design experience on shipped titles, hands-on use of Unreal and Unity, and the ability to provide constructive feedback in English.

Qualifications

• Video game design experience in a senior role on at least two shipped titles.
• Direct experience with Unreal and Unity engines.
• Must provide evidence of relevant design knowledge and experience.
• Strong understanding of the intersection of game development fields (narrative, programming, art, etc.).
• Strong presentation and English communication skills.
• Ability to provide verbal and written feedback to students.

Responsibilities

• Teach game design and development courses in the Entertainment Arts program at KPU.
• Courses may be offered day or evening, online or in-person at Richmond campus.
• Provide feedback to students to improve their work and learning outcomes.
• Participate in curriculum development and program activities as a Qualified Faculty List member.
