We're looking for a Game Data Analyst Co-op to join our team! Reporting to the Senior Game Data Analyst for Marvel Contest of Champions, you'll gain immersive, hands‑on experience analyzing the live performance, feature performance, and player behavior of one of Marvel's most popular mobile games. This role demands a scientific, results‑driven approach to transform large datasets into actionable strategic insights.

In this role, you can expect to:
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design and Marketing teams to translate their business objectives into measurable data questions
  • Conduct hands‑on exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, anomalies, and key drivers behind in‑game metrics.
  • Present findings and insights clearly and concely to stakeholders
  • Review reporting processes and suggest enhancements to resolve inefficiencies.Data Extraction and Preparation (Foundational Skills)
  • Utilize SQL querying, extracting and manipulating complex datasets from production and analytical data warehouses and other applicable sources.
  • Assist in refining and optimizing existing data queries to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Reporting and Visualization (Stakeholder Support)
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of existing analytical dashboards (potentially in Tableau, Looker, Power BI) tailored to various team needs within the organization.
  • Develop ad‑hoc reports quickly to address immediate, high priority business questions from leadership.
  • Propose and implement enhancement to current reporting processes to resolve inefficiencies and increase adoptions
  • Ensure that dashboards and reports are up‑to‑date and accurate.
  • Product Feature Analysis and Optimization (Direct Impact)
  • Execute post‑launch analysis on newly released in‑game features, events, or products.
  • Measure feature success against pre‑defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and recommend data‑backed optimization paths.
Your background includes:
  • Currently enrolled in a qualifying Co‑Ops program, preferably within a STEM discipline (e.g. Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • Key Skills
  • SQL: Practical experience writing queries for data extraction and manipulation
  • Data Presentation: Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analytical results into clear, concise and visually effective presentation.
  • Gaming Acumen: Familiarity with general game design concepts and monetization principles in the mobile F2P (Free‑to‑Play) space.
  • BI Tools: Exposure to visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, Power BI is a bonus
