Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC is offering a 16- to 18-month internship in hardware design methodology in Toronto. The role focuses on building optimized tools to improve the design flow, power, performance, and area while leveraging AI/ML to boost productivity.

You will work with project teams, gain hands-on experience across the backend flow, and collaborate with mentors. The program includes housing stipends and professional development activities.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Electrical or Computer Engineering University program.
• 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc.
• Experience with scripting, Linux/Unix environment.
• Knowledge of industry standard IC design tools (synthesis, simulation, equivalence checking, static timing analysis) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience with the complete back-end design flow.
• Assist in flow scripting and benchmarking efforts.
• Develop AI/ML solutions to enhance design efficiency and scalability.
• Leverage LLM and EDA tools to drive PPA optimization.
