Role Overview

The Qualcomm Analog Design team in Toronto is composed of a group of nerdy engineers who have still not forgotten how to have fun. We recognize that, as an undergrad student, you probably don’t have a lot of integrated circuit (IC) design experience, and that is ok. We are looking for smart and motivated engineers who like a good challenge and are willing to learn. We will work with you to build upon the knowledge of circuits that you have developed through your courses or projects and will help you become a productive member of our team. Our aim is to help you learn a lot and then return to school with confident knowledge in the subject. It’s our hope that you will become part of Toronto’s expanding ecosystem of hardware engineering talent, and we hope to work with you again longer term after you graduate.

Responsibilities may include:

• - Work with a team of world-class engineers who are very willing to help when needed and are happy to receive help when offered.
• - Ensure analog circuit performance adheres to the specifications set by previous versions of the design and system model simulations.
• - Analog behavior modeling using SystemVerilog and run AMS co-sim to validate models
• - Propose design and verification strategies to ensure high quality design.
• - Present simulation data for peer review.
• - Document design features and key testbench performance metrics.
• - Cross-functional work involve analog, digital, firmware and system teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

• - Enrolled in Electrical or Computer Engineering University program.
• - Skilled in Verilog / SystemVerilog for RTL design verification.
• - Knowledge of SPICE simulators and simulation methods.

Preferred Qualifications (but not required to apply):

• - Experience with EDA tools like Cadence Virtuoso for schematic entry, layout, and verification.
• - Knowledgeable in Verilog-A for analog behavioural modeling.
• - Familiarity with one of more the following blocks: Bandgap, Regulator, Oscillator, Op Amp, PLL, ADC, high-speed digital logic
• - Familiarity with transistor-level circuit design using advanced CMOS technology nodes such as 7nm FinFET and above.
• - Knowledge of Python/Perl/TCL/Matlab for CAD flow automation is helpful

Education Requirements:

• - In study towards a bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Science, Computer Science, or related field
• - For 16-month internships: must be available May/June 2027 - August/September 2028
• - For 12-month internships: must be available May/June 2027 - May/June 2028
• - Expected graduation date ofNovember 2028 or later.
• - 1+ years of academic experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Python, etc

Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits:
$54,600.00 - $103,350.00

The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
