Salary

Starting Salary Opportunity: $96,000+

  • Actual base pay will depend and vary based on factors such as individual experience and skills of the applicant.
Bonus

Bonus at Target: $24,000

  • This role may also be eligible for discretionary long-term incentive awards.
  • Variable Compensation opportunities are contingent on individual performance and overall business results, pursuant to the Bonus Plan; listed amount are targeted values and not guarantees.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for leading our financial reporting, and accountable for managing the revenue and costs across Canada.
  • Roles works closely across our entire organization, and with Senior Leaders to support the development our strategic plans to deliver revenue, cost and cash flow improvement.
  • Identify opportunities for streamlining financial processes and improving efficiency.
  • Support the implementation of new financial systems or tools to enhance reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial processes with business objectives.
  • Stay updated on changes to financial regulations, accounting standards, and industry best practices.
  • Support senior management in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior finance team members.
  • Manage business cycle & monthly financial reporting
  • Support the business cycle as the owner of performance metrics, ensuring a direct link to financials. Work with the business to understand gaps and develop projects to improve performance.
  • Responsible to manage the financial forecasting process. Ensure consistency between performance metrics results and forecasted costs.
  • Analyze drivers and accuracy of Labatt's financial statement across our balance sheet, cash flow statement and/ or income statement.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures to maintain the accuracy and reliability of financial statements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (required), Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) preferred. Thorough knowledge of Canadian GAAP & IFRS
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and financial controls.
  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Excel).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership. General knowledge of good planning and control practices
  • Ability to simplify complex issues.
  • The capacity to manage a wide range of multiple priorities.
