Future Opening: Janitorial Operations Specialist

Currently Hiring: Janitorial Operations Specialist
Location: Head Office in Chilliwack
Hours: Full-Time | Monday-Friday

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years leadership/management experience: coaching, motivating, developing and leading a team
  • Scheduling experience with the ability to pivot and adapt
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience working with and creating excel spreadsheets
  • Administrative, reporting and logistical skills
  • Flexibility in schedule for weekly and occasional after-hours meetings
  • Commercial janitorial knowledge and experience is an asset
  • High school diploma and some post‑secondary education preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Managing, developing and improving work standards and systems
  • Creative problem solving, supervisory support and leadership to all staff
  • Support new staff onboarding by creating training plans, managing and developing systems for tracking progress and identifying successes/gaps
  • Plan and ensure regular inspections and quality reviews are planned and completed regularly by supervisors
  • Plan and manage scheduling of janitorial staff: recurring schedules, sick notice and other fill‑ins, and day‑to‑day troubleshooting
  • Creating and managing delivery schedules, and providing training where needed
  • Work alongside the HR coordinator on all hiring needs, staff changes and providing input on disciplinary measures
  • Payroll support: approving vacation requests, and hours worked for janitorial, delivery and supervisory staff

COMPENSATION: $50,000‑$60,000 commensurate with experience
