Hitachi Rail Canada is seeking an Information Systems professional to lead SAP FICO/PS financials and project systems, ensuring alignment with Finance and Project Business teams. The role combines project management, functional support, and SAP system evolution across ECC, FICO, PS, RAR, and Concur.

You will coordinate with global teams, manage service delivery, document requirements, and guide testing and reporting while traveling as needed.

Formación

• SAP ECC 6.0 functionality (EHP 6.0 minimum).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Financial Management or related field/foreign equivalent required, Master's highly desired.
• Experience in supervising service delivery teams, on-shore-off-shore.
• Strong business process knowledge in revenue recognition processes: RAR.
• Strong business process knowledge in project system processes: Primavera.
• Knowledge of Vertex or other Tax solutions that integrate to SAP.
• Understand integration points with AP, PP, SD and MM, including vendor management.
• 3+ years as a project team leader or work package manager.
• 10 years’ experience as an SAP FICO/PS consultant.
• 4 full lifecycle implementation projects as FICO/PS member.
• 2 full lifecycle upgrade projects as FICO/PS member.
• Experience with OSS, SAP Data Migration and Interfaces (LSMW, eCATT, SAP Query).
• Excellent communication skills; legally authorized to work in the country of the position.

Job Description

This Information Systems position is responsible for planning, project management, coordination and functional support of all HR Canada domains primarily, in the area of SAP Financial and Project Systems. The SAP primary areas of responsibility will be in Financial Accounting, Controlling, Project Systems, RAR, Concur, CATS modules. The support and project management work is primarily, but not limited to, the use and evolution of the SAP system. This position includes leading and supporting both project and production support activities. This SAP resource is the primary liaison between the Finance/Project Business teams and the Information System’s Business applications team. The resource will engage with the Global Hitachi Rail Applications team for support and development. Within IT this Position will have responsibilities to ensure IT financials are current and meet the needs for management reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and enhance the entire SAP Finance portfolio
• The SAP areas of responsibility are but not limited to FICO, PS, RAR, Concur and Time modules. The specialist in SAP FICO/PS will have oversight for the enhancement and maintenance of these functions in Hitachi Rail Canada’s ERP footprint - SAP ECC EHP 8
• Support of Primavera integration with SAP
• Support Concur integration with SAP
• Support Vertex or other Tax Solution with SAP
• Responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the efforts of both the project and functional/technical support activities.
• The individual will be expected to act as Project Manager on projects/initiatives related to SAP or relevant applications through their entire lifecycle, including estimating resource requirements, RFP and SOW reviews, project activities and dependencies.
• The individual will interact with internal team members, outsourced partners, including ABAP and Basis for issue escalation/resolution.
• Engage with managed service partner’s delivery manager to ensure quality of service (QoS) for the Operations team.
• Responsible for supervising system configuration in the FICO and related modules by any external service providers.
• As required the individual will be expected to respond to Help Desk requests by reviewing and resolving assigned tickets based on priority in a reasonable time, aligning to SLAs and to provide a high level of customer service.
• Interact with Business Analysts and customers to identify and document requirements that will be used to produce systems requirements documentation.
• Transform business requirements into functional specifications and provide estimates to meet requirements.
• The individual will have subject matter expertise, develop training materials and deliver training on the use of functionality in the Financial and Project Systems areas.
• The individual will provide guidance on strategy relative to the Finance modules, e.g., what tools/business processes can be implemented at client in order to improve our efficiency/productivity and ensure that IS supports the growth of the business.
• Manage testing of SAP solutions
• Participate and actively develop enhanced IT financial reporting
• Travel may be required periodically
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Experience

• Must be familiar with SAP ECC 6.0 functionality (EHP 6.0 minimum).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or Financial Management or related field/foreign equivalent required, Master’s Degree in Computer Science, related field or foreign equivalent highly desired.
• Experience in supervising service delivery teams, on-shore-off-shore
• Strong business process knowledge in revenue recognition processes: RAR
• Strong business process knowledge in project system processes: Primavera
• Knowledge of Vertex or other Tax solutions that integrate to SAP
• Understand the integration points with Accounts Payable, Production Planning and Sales & Distribution and Material Management, including experience with vendor management.
• Maintains high level of quality while working under pressure and deadlines.
• Analytical ability to synthesis data and reporting on metrics.
• Customer Service and Results oriented.
• Proven ability to stay organized and the ability to prioritize workload.
• Ability to assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications
• A working knowledge of Project Management. 3+ years as a project team leader or work package manager.
• 10 years’ experience as an SAP FICO/PS consultant
• 4 full lifecycle implementation projects as a FICO/PS functional/configuration team member.
• 2 full lifecycle upgrade projects as a FICO/PS functional /configuration team member.
• Be able to independently solve complex functional issues in SAP
• Experienced with utilizing OSS and submitting support messages to SAP.
• Experience with SAP Data Migration and Interfaces including LSMW, eCATT, SAP Query and other data management tools.
• Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Must have legally authorized to work in the county in which the position is located
• Must have a positive attitude.

• Functional experience working with business intelligence tools.
• Functional Experience with automated/collaborative testing systems such as HP QC, ALM, Panaya, Solution Manager or related application.
• Experience with SharePoint, LiveLink

Base Salary Range : $106,000 - $144,000
