  • Act as liaison with clients for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze and resolve software problems for application incidents.
  • Document and communicate knowledge with the rest of the team to improve service levels, by developing and maintaining “how to” procedures and knowledge‑base articles.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document business requirements.
  • Design and implement reports and dashboards (Power BI, Helix Dashboards, etc.) and reporting tools by accessing on‑prem application databases and leveraging SaaS application API services to support usage tracking and compliance monitoring.
  • Configure application functionality for any requirement/enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Document and execute UAT testing.
  • Coordinate with the QA Lead and QA Team to ensure appropriate QA testing.
  • Collaborate with other internal IT organizations to ensure optimal work processes are followed and organization’s IT strategy is delivered.
  • Be hands‑on application support during integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Provide or lead the end‑user training with applications.
  • Provide support and expertise after go‑live of the initial rollout of projects.
  • Follow all practices of Aecon IS and contribute for enhancement. Manage changes as needed for high priority issues.
  • Work closely and productively with application functional leads to support/implementation vendor for day‑to‑day work or any other work.
  • Work self‑directed and independently.
  • Participate in internal, customer and regulatory audits if required.
  • Support the information systems and operate according to internal standards, external accrediting agency standards and legal requirements.
  • Ensure the integrity of IT assets.
What You Bring to the Team:
  • IT‑related post‑secondary education (Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics) or equivalent; a university degree is an asset.
  • Light Project Management experience is an asset.
  • Familiarity with ITIL Foundations is an asset.
  • Strong SQL and data analysis skills for querying and managing on‑prem databases is an asset.
  • Application configuration and performance analysis skills.
  • Experience with Incident Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, Change Management, or Service Level Management is an asset.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to non‑technical people (written and oral).
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools (DAX and M knowledge is an asset).
  • Experience with Python and PowerShell for scripting and automation.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and application integration techniques.
  • Understanding of data governance, compliance, and security protocols in enterprise environments.
  • Technical knowledge in computer hardware and software configuration.
  • Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Ability to act individually and work together with others as part of a team.
  • Ability to recognize, analyze, and effectively solve problems in a timely and organized manner using industry best practices and procedures.
  • Knowledge of the Windows Server Family, Microsoft Entra ID, and Active Directory is an asset.
  • Understanding of BMC Helix, Azure Virtual Desktop, and SAP ERP systems is also an asset.
  • Ability to learn quickly with a “can do” attitude.
