Job summary

Olameter is hiring Full Time Temporary Meter Readers in the Vancouver, BC area. No experience is required as paid training is provided. The role runs for six months and could lead to additional opportunities. You will read gas meters, document consumption, and may inspect meters as needed.

Applicants must be 18+, hold a valid driver's license, have a reliable vehicle, and pass background and driving record checks. Day shifts, Monday through Friday, with independent work and minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately
• Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
• Valid driver's license required

We're currently hiring for Full TimeTemporaryMeter Readers in the Vancouver, BC area! NO EXPERIENCE is required with paid training! If you consider yourself an independent worker and enjoy being outside, this job is for you!Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver's license, have a reliable vehicle and have a clean criminal and driving record.

Position will be for a 6 month term, could possibly lead to more.

All of our field staff are provided with:

• Paid Training, and after the initial classroom training and field training employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn in excess of $30+ / hour!

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for reading gas meters and recording volume used by residential and commercial consumers to ensure accurate consumption and billing. May perform visual meter inspection to assess the condition and overall operation of the meter and note any visible defects or issues.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license
• Must successfully pass pre-employment screenings: background check and driving record
• Must have access to your own reliable vehicle
• Must be able to walk up to 10-15 miles per day while reading meters accurately

Working Conditions and Hours:

• Day shift hours, Monday-Friday
• Little supervision to give you freedom to work independently and manage your own day

Knowledge and Abilities:

• Successfully complete the company's training program and pass applicable written and field tests
• Learn and apply safety measure relating to motor vehicle operation and other field related matters
