Job summary

Giant Tiger is hiring a Store Associate (Full-Time) at its Truro, Nova Scotia location. You will provide friendly customer service, handle transactions at registers and SCOs, and keep merchandise and signage organized around the checkout area.

The role requires the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, attention to detail, and strong communication. A typical schedule includes day shifts, some evenings, and alternating weekends, with 35–40 hours per week for full-time staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service
• Process transactions accurately at cash register, mainline and SCOs
• Replenish merchandise around the checkout area
• Follow up on hot selling items and perform markdowns and SKU changes
• Maintain planograms, labels, tickets and signing standards
• Perform cycle counts as required
• Ensure compliance with Tobacco and Lottery policies
• Follow health and safety policies and guidelines
• Keep checkout area clean and organized
• Apply loss prevention best practices
