• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: keep area clean, safe, and organized, free of debris and spills.
• Promote Walmart programs and initiatives when applicable (credit card services, protection plans, charitable programs).
• Assist customers at self-checkout, guide usage, monitor activity, and escalate issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS alarms and complete the required log (Failure to Deactivate).
• Manage Scan & Go equipment and ensure return to storage after use.
• Be flexible with shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you'll do

• Maintain Self Checkout Area Standards: Maintains a clean, safe, and organized self checkout area, ensuring it remains free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and spills.
• Promote Walmart Programs and Initiatives: Supports the promotion of company sponsored programs, including credit card services, product protection plans, and charitable initiatives, when applicable.
• Support Customers at Self Checkout: Helps customers use self checkout quickly and confidently by offering assistance when needed, monitoring activity, and completing required checks. Clearly explain any interventions in a friendly, reassuring way and elevate cash or technical issues to the Customer Service Manager.
• Respond to EAS Alerts and Complete Documentation: Responds to EAS alarms in accordance with procedures and accurately completes the “Failure to Deactivate” log.
• Manage Scan & Go Equipment: Ensures Scan & Go scanners are returned to their designated storage locations after use.
• Flexibility (Availability/Work Schedule): Be open to working a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs. Your adaptability helps ensure the store runs smoothly and customers receive consistent, high-quality service.

• Physical Demands: Performs physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting inventory, equipment, or supplies weighing up to 20 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Performs repetitive tasks such as stocking, zoning, and organizing products with attention to detail and consistency to uphold store standards.

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.15.
