DBNC- Journeyman Plumber Job Description

Are you looking for full time work with a financially stable company? We are searching for a Licensed Journeyman Plumber to join our team. We have an exciting project in the Greater Toronto Area!

The successful candidate will have a strong background with new build and renovations in commercial plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 AM – 3PM

Hours of Work: 40hrs/week, Full Time, ongoing projects (no layoffs)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot problems, and respond to emergency plumbing situations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan the installation of plumbing systems
  • Install and maintain water supply, waste disposal, and storm drainage systems in accordance with local codes and regulations
  • Install and maintain gas distribution systems and equipment, including gas meters and gas piping
  • Provide advice and recommendations to building owners and managers on plumbing issues and repairs
  • Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, and maintain a clean and organized work area
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A valid Plumber’s License from the Ontario College of Trades
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a commercial plumber
  • Knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations in Ontario
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex plumbing issues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Required to bring the following tools and equipment:
    • Basic hand tools (large tools will be provided)
    • CSA approved safety boots
    • Hard hat
  • Must possess reliable method of transportation
  • Working at heights certification is an asset
