Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking a full-time Pediatrician to join the Chilliwack General Hospital pediatric clinic. The role includes mentoring over two years for new graduates, with the clinic operating within the hospital and serving maternity, ER, and observation units.

The successful candidate will participate in a 1 in 5 acute on-call rota, attend high-risk deliveries, and provide acute and general pediatric care from birth to 19 years, in collaboration with regional health partners.

Qualifications

• New graduates welcome; mentoring over two years provided.
• Based within the Chilliwack Pediatric Clinic operating inside Chilliwack General Hospital.
• Interest in contributing to and developing a community pediatric service model.

Responsibilities

• 1 in 5 acute on-call rota covering Maternity Delivery Suite, ER, and a 4-bed observation unit.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and manage immediate neonatal stabilization and transport referrals.
• Provide care in the Emergency Room and Pediatric Observation Unit for acutely ill children.
• Collaborate with Fraser Health hospitals and BC Children’s Hospital for transfers and consults.
• Support community pediatric services and participation in clinic-based care for birth to 19 years.
