Job summary

Walmart Canada in Goderich, ON is seeking an Associate to support receiving, merchandising, and stocking processes. You will unload trailers, move pallets to the floor, and assist in pushing merchandise through to the sales floor while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

You will work as part of a team to plan and execute duties according to workload and store operations, with a strong emphasis on accurate labeling and backroom stocking.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years or older.
• Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the sales floor for store opening.
• Set up, merchandise, and sign features.
• Assist in unloading merchandise and stocking the floor.
• Label merchandise and arrange backroom stock for easy access.
• Move pallets and merchandise to and from the sales floor for overtime processing.
• Provide customer service as needed on the sales floor.
• Label the sales floor for opening and maintain displays.
• Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free workplace by following company policies.

Position Summary...

To provide customer service by completing assigned tasks relating to receiving and the flow of merchandise through to the sales floor. This will be accomplished by unloading trailers, pulling pallets to the floor and assisting in the processing of merchandise all in a safe and clean environment. This Associate will function as part of a team to strategically plan and execute duties based on workload and operational functions.

What You'll Do...

• Preparing the sales floor for store opening
• Setting, merchandising and signing features
• Completing live unloading of other types of merchandise
• The main differentiator between this role and day/evening fulfillment is there is a stronger emphasis on labelling and placing merchandise in the backroom bins/stocking
• Pulling pallets of merchandise to and from the sales floor for overnight processing
• Assisting in stocking the sales floor as assigned and providing customer service if necessary
• Label the sales floor for store opening
• Contributes to a safe, clean and hazard free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure

The minimum rate of pay for this position starts from $17.75.
