Job summary

Fraser Health is seeking physicians to join the Burnaby Hospital Hospitalist Program as Most Responsible Physicians. The role provides admission and management responsibilities for unattached patients and collaborative care across medical, surgical, psychiatric services in a community hospital setting.

The position supports a rotation of ER, evenings, weekends and nights, with an emphasis on continuity of care. The preferred option is full-time; part-time may be available.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed and capable of hospitalist duties.
• Experience in hospitalist work is an asset.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and lead quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide admission and management as MRP for unattached patients.
• Offer supportive care for surgical, medical, and psychiatric patients.
• Share in committee and administrative work; participate in quality improvement.
• Cover intake shifts in ER, evenings, weekends and nights; ensure continuity of care.
