Nova Scotia Health is recruiting for a Family Medicine physician to join the Arichat Medical Clinic in Arichat, NS. This full-time opportunity offers a longitudinal family medicine practice with a supportive team including a nurse and social worker, plus opportunities in Urgent Care, Long Term Care, home visits and teaching medical learners.

The position emphasizes comprehensive primary care with a strong bilingual community in Cape Breton Island and competitive overhead supported by three admin

Responsibilities

• provide comprehensive, full-scope primary health care to practice patients of all ages and stages of health and illness
• maintain timely and accurate patient records using a provincially approved electronic medical record (EMR)
• participate in quality improvement, practice evaluation, and other activities that support the delivery of safe, effective, patient-centered care
• attend regular physician and team meetings
• partake in continuing medical education (CME) andprofessional development opportunities
• participate in teaching of medical learners
