Job summary

Successful candidate responsibilities
  • Working with students one-on-one in a Life Skills Program
Preference will be given to candidates who
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with children, parents and staff
  • Work collaboratively and co-operatively with teachers and other educational assistants in the classroom/school
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directionWork independently with minimal instruction
  • Demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills
  • Respect confidentiality
  • Practice professionalism with all HTH students, staff, administration, parents and public
  • Are aware of NGPS policies and administrative procedures
  • Have an understanding of the teaching/learning process
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and patience
  • Enjoys working in a team environment
  • A Teaching Assistant Certificate would be an asset
Start Date
  • As soon as a suitable candidate is found
Hours
  • 6.5 hours a day, 5 days a week
