We are presently accepting resumes for a Permanent Full-Time Support Worker II position. This position will be assigned to work in our group homes in Orillia.

Compensation Package:
  • Hours of work are 8:00am - 8:00pm 12-hour shifts totaling 72 hours biweekly;
  • Minimum starting rate of pay is $26.82;
  • 11 paid Statutory Holidays;
  • Confidential Employee Assistance program for you and for your immediate family;
Following the successful completion of probation:
  • Employer paid life insurance health and dental benefits;
  • Employer paid vacation personal leave and sick time;
  • Participation in RRSP with employer match up to 4%;
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Developmental Service Worker diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (Child and Youth Worker, Early Childhood Education, Social Service Worker, Nursing, Psychology, etc. as determined by the employer) is required;
  • 6 months of direct related experience in the Developmental Services sector;
  • Candidates who have a completed Degree or Diploma from an accredited college or university in an unrelated field must have 2 years full-time work experience directly supporting people;

  • Ability to work weekends and holidays;
  • Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;
  • A valid class G drivers license and own reliable transportation is required;
Role / Duties:

Our Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities include providing support with personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
