Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is hiring a Regular Full Time Anaesthesia Assistant to join the Operating Unit team at Surrey Memorial Hospital, Surrey, BC. The role requires technical expertise in anesthesia support, equipment maintenance, and peri-operative patient care.

You will work under anesthesiologist supervision, participate in clinical committees, and contribute to research projects while coordinating with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient operating room flow.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Anaesthesia Assistant from an accredited program.
• Respiratory Therapy diploma with relevant clinical experience.
• Eligible for CSRT/BCSRT membership and current CPR/ACLS/NRP certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with induction, maintenance and recovery of anesthesia under supervision.
• Maintain and calibrate anesthesia and related equipment; document procedures.
• Support in perioperative care, airway management and intraoperative monitoring.
• Participate in research, committees, and quality improvement projects.
• Provide education and guidance to students and staff.
