Job summary

Armour Security & Protection Services Corporation (Armour) is seeking on-call Security Guards in Ottawa. This long-term on-call role offers shifts across morning, evening, and night time, with pay between $17 and $19 per hour.

Up to 40 hours per week through Armour’s Shiftboard, and a path to steady, rewarding work within a fast-growing Canadian security company. Responsibilities include patrolling sites, reporting incidents, handling alarms, and maintaining logs using the E-Armour system.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and French, both spoken and written.
• Basic computer and smartphone skills.
• Strong sense of responsibility, reliability and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and exercise sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned job sites and ensure safety of personnel and property.
• Identify, monitor and report security risks or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents and emergencies.
• Complete daily activity and incident reports using E-Armour.
• Use E-Armour patrol system to scan checkpoints and log sites.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada and provincial statutes.
