This is with a global IT services firm for a leading investment/wealth management services firm. Client Location is downtown Toronto Ontario, close to TTC and GO service. Hybrid - In Office 4 days per week. Contract - 6 months, possible renewal. Target rate range: $65-80hr on B2B.

Project Description

We're seeking a Full Stack Python Developer with AWS and Angular or React to design and build robust, scalable investment & trading systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage timelines/deliverables within the team towards the successful delivery of projects.
• Design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff and peers to understand requirements.
• Develop solutions that are in line with client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.
• Provide knowledge transfer to team members and support staff through application demos, walkthroughs, and documentation.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Python in an enterprise environment, covering the whole development life cycle
• Experience with web development using either Angular or React or Dash Plotly.
• Agile/scrum/Jira/confluence/Git
• Experience with AWS Cloud technologies and services
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines
• Unit and integration testing

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Capital market experience
• Experience with BI tools, preferably QuickSight.
• Experience with terraform for Infrastructure as code and cloud provisioning.
• Experience with Jupyter notebooks for data analysis and reporting.
