McKesson Canada is seeking an experienced Full Stack Liferay Developer to join the B2B Customer Portal team. This role will support the design, development, implementation, enhancement, and operational support of secure, reliable, and scalable customer-facing portal solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Architects, QA teams, UX designers, internal technology teams, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality digital experiences using Liferay and modern full-stack technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Delivery and Solution Development

• Design, develop, configure, test, and implement customer portal solutions using Liferay DXP.
• Develop full-stack capabilities across user interfaces, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data layers.
• Build and maintain Liferay modules, reusable components, portlets, workflows, themes, and content capabilities.
• Develop responsive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences using modern front-end technologies.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into technical designs and working solutions.
• Participate in technical design reviews, estimation, development planning, testing, deployment, and go-live activities.
• Create and maintain technical specifications, interface documentation, deployment notes, and operational handoff materials.

Integration, Security and Platform Development

• Develop and maintain secure REST APIs and integrations with enterprise applications, identity services, and external platforms.
• Support authentication and authorization capabilities, including SSO, MFA, OAuth, and role-based access.
• Contribute to platform upgrades, modernization, performance improvements, scalability, and technical debt reduction.
• Apply secure coding, privacy, accessibility, and enterprise architecture standards throughout solution delivery.

Operational Support and Continuous Improvement

• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for production Customer Portal issues.
• Investigate and resolve application defects, integration failures, performance issues, and customer-reported problems.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve stability and reduce recurring issues.
• Support monitoring, incident management, problem management, change management, and release activities as required.
• Contribute to development standards, code reviews, automated testing, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Use approved AI-assisted tools responsibly to improve development, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting activities.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting enterprise web applications.
• Strong hands-on experience developing solutions using Liferay DXP.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, REST services, and enterprise application development.
• Experience developing Liferay OSGi modules, custom portlets, services, workflows, themes, or client extensions.
• Full-stack development experience using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React or Angular.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs and integrating enterprise applications.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.
• Experience with source control, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and working through the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Liferay DXP certification or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience supporting B2B customer portals, eCommerce, order management, healthcare distribution, wholesale, or supply chain environments.
• Experience with Azure, containers, cloud-native development patterns, and application observability.
• Experience with SSO, MFA, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth, or related identity and access technologies.
• Experience with accessibility, performance optimization, secure coding, and high-availability applications.
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, DevOps, and product-oriented delivery practices.
• Preferred experience with or knowledge of AI technologies, including generative AI, large language models, machine learning concepts, and AI-assisted software development tools.
• Experience using approved AI tools to support coding, testing, documentation, code review, or issue analysis is an asset.
• Familiarity with AI integration concepts such as prompt design, APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, embeddings, vector search, or AI agents is an asset.
• Understanding of responsible AI practices, including privacy, security, governance, human review, and protection of sensitive information.

Our Base Pay Range for this position:

$81,500 - $108,600
