Job summary

Viv Technologies in the GTA area is seeking a skilled Full Stack JavaScript Developer to join a small agile team building the leading home care practice management system. You will work end-to-end on React interfaces and Node.js services, with MongoDB data models, and collaborate across product, QA, and development.

You will contribute to scheduling, client and caregiver management, and ensure code quality through testing. Remote-friendly now, on-site periodic work in the GTA is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years JavaScript development experience.
• Experience with React, Node.js, MongoDB.
• Collaborative agile environment experience.
• Experience using Git or similar source control.
• Enthusiasm for clean and tested code.
• Experience leveraging AI coding agents (Claude Code or Codex).
• Ability to learn, adapt, and grow in home care industry.

Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end features from React UI to Node.js services and MongoDB models.
• Develop platform features used by home care operators daily (scheduling, client, caregiver mgmt).
• Collaborate with product, QA, and other developers to scope and ship code.
• Investigate production issues and improve platform stability and performance.
• Write tests and keep codebase clean as it grows.

Job Description

The Full Stack JavaScript Developer works in a small agile development team, producing the most advanced home care practice management system in the industry. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside talented developers tackling challenging problems using the JavaScript stack.

Though we're currently working remotely, we're only considering candidates who reside in or are in easy reach of the GTA as in-office work will be needed periodically.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain functionality end to end, from React interfaces to Node.js services and MongoDB data models.
• Work on features across the platform that home care operators rely on every day, such as scheduling and client and caregiver management.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and fellow developers to scope work, review code, and ship reliably.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, improving the stability and performance of a platform that operators across multiple sites depend on.
• Write tests and contribute to keeping the codebase clean and maintainable as it grows.

What You Bring
