Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Canada Inc. is hiring a software engineer to contribute to building responsive, scalable web applications using Spring Boot and modern UI techniques.

You will work on RESTful APIs, microservices, and data models, collaborating with QA, Product, and DevOps across a Canadian team. The ideal candidate has a CS degree and hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, and CI/CD, and demonstrates strong problem-solving and communication skills in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building responsive and scalable web applications.
• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and modern UI/UX design principles.
• Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cosmos DB).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure; knowledge of secure coding practices.
• Experience with Git-based source control tools (GitHub, Bitbucket) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications using Spring Boot and modern frontend tech.
• Design and consume RESTful APIs; work with microservices and distributed systems.
• Collaborate with QA, Product, and DevOps to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and participate in code reviews and security testing.
