Job summary

Citylitics seeks a full stack developer to modernize an established Django + React web application on a live shipping codebase. You will co-define target patterns with the team and own delivery end-to-end, from backend to frontend, while shipping smaller customer-facing solutions.

You will apply data-driven decision making, AI-assisted workflows, and cloud deployments to iterate safely on a live system. The role is hybrid and based in Toronto.

Qualifications

• Must have 3–5 years building and maintaining production web applications.
• Experience with Django/Django REST Framework and Python.
• Strong frontend skills in React and TypeScript.
• Experience deploying on a cloud stack (preferably GCP) and using CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design and modernize a Django + React web application to reduce technical debt.
• Ship self-contained custom solutions for customers end-to-end.
• Own modernization efforts: upgrade core frameworks and decompose modules.
• Collaborate with team to define patterns and validate results using data & metrics.
