Engineering at StackAdapt:

As an Engineer at StackAdapt, you will be directly involved in the development of our advertising platform, producing production-level code that will have a direct impact on the success of our product. You will work with large data sets and have exposure to modern tech stacks around GoLang, Ruby on Rails, React, GraphQL and more. About the Team:

The Execution Team is responsible for building and improving campaign editors, which are the most important parts of the platform to help clients create new campaigns and tie all aspects of their bidding strategy together. The team consistently expands campaign channels and provides customers with more strategies in their campaigns. We manage StackAdapt's public GraphQL API, which allows for programmatic campaign execution.

StackAdapt is a Remote First company, we are open to candidates located anywhere in Canada for this position.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Design, improve, and debug complex, scalable distributed systems.
  • Write extensible, scalable and test-driven code.
  • Take part in sprint planning and architectural decision-making.
  • Collaborate with team members on designing scalable, well tested, and well documented web architecture, including APIs and backend systems. As an engineer, you are expected to take responsibility and ownership of projects from start to finish.
  • Contribute to code reviews and technical spec reviews.
What You’ll Bring to the Table
  • 2+ years of full-time work experience building highly performant web applications.
  • Knowledge of our frontend technologies is required - React, Typescript, Redux etc.
  • Proven experience designing scalable, high-performance systems, including web APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC) and asynchronous backend services.
  • Knowledge of ANY full-stack technologies is highly preferred - React/Typescript + NodeJS, Ruby on Rails, Django, Java Spring Boot
  • Experience with implementing a client-facing project end-to-end, from design to delivery.
  • Experience collaborating closely with Product & Design to design, implement and iterate on high impact end-to-end product experiences.
