Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a mid-level or senior Full Stack Engineer with AI engineering experience to join our technology team in Montreal.

You will work on Angular front-end and Java/Spring Boot backend, building RESTful APIs and CI/CD automation while applying LLM capabilities to deliver AI-driven user experiences. Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering with AI-enabled apps.

Responsibilities

• Design AI applications leveraging LLMs for natural-language interaction, intelligent search, summarization, content generation, and workflow automation.
• Develop RAG solutions securely connecting models to enterprise data with embeddings, vector search, and access controls.
• Integrate model APIs with secure prompt management and tool calling.
• Create evaluation datasets and automated tests for quality, latency, and cost.
• Build Angular interfaces and data visualizations for risk and policy information.
• Design scalable Java/Spring Boot microservices with authentication and authorization.

We are seeking a mid-level or senior Full Stack Engineer with AI engineering experience to join Client technology team. This role emphasizes Angular front-end development, Java and Spring Boot backend engineering, RESTful APIs, and CI/CD automation, while applying LLM capabilities to deliver AI-driven user experiences. The engineer will design, build, test, deploy, and operate secure, high-quality applications across the full stack, collaborating with product, architecture, cybersecurity, and business teams to ship reliable features.

Key Responsibilities

• Design AI applications leveraging LLMs for natural-language interaction, intelligent search, summarization, content generation, and workflow automation.
• Develop RAG solutions that securely connect models to enterprise data using embeddings, vector search, metadata filtering, citations, and access controls.
• Integrate model APIs with secure prompt management, structured outputs, tool/function calling, context management, and streaming responses.
• Create evaluation datasets and automated tests for answer quality, groundedness, safety, latency, reliability, and cost; leverage telemetry and user feedback for improvements.
• Build Angular interfaces and data visualizations for risk, metric, policy, and control information.
• Design scalable services using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices with authentication and authorization.
• Use AI coding assistants responsibly for code exploration, implementation, refactoring, test generation, debugging, review, and documentation.
• Apply best practices including code review, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, secure development, performance tuning, and production support.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify high-value use cases and translate requirements into measurable technical outcomes.
• For senior candidates: Lead solution design, mentor engineers, influence standards, assess trade-offs across model quality, latency, cost, security, and maintainability, and drive delivery across teams.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including delivery of production AI-enabled applications.
• Strong full-stack development with Angular/TypeScript, Java/Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, distributed systems, and secure application design.
• Practical experience with LLM application patterns, model APIs, RAG, embeddings, vector search, prompt design, structured outputs, tool calling, evaluation, observability, and AI security.
• Hands-on use of Claude, GitHub Copilot, or comparable AI coding assistants with disciplined review, testing, and security practices.
• Strong CI/CD and DevOps experience covering automated builds, testing, deployment, release controls, and monitoring; familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native platforms preferred.
• Experience with Python, SQL/NoSQL databases, data integration, caching, and data-intensive applications.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Senior candidates: Architecture leadership, delivery ownership, and mentoring experience.
• Familiarity with cloud-native platforms and advanced DevOps practices.

Certifications (if any)

• SAP Service, Customer Service, PM, or related certification (preferred but not required).
