Job Title: Full Stack Developer – Java/JS

Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite/in-office presence required 3x/week)

We're seeking someone to join our Risk and Information Management team as a Full Stack Developer with experience on multi-tiered Java EE-style applications and Front-End technologies. The candidate will be required to work in a multifaceted agile team on the development and maintenance of a suite of applications which cater to Non-Financial Risk Management.

This is a Full Stack Developer position, which is part of the family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs and requirements.

What you’ll bring to the role:

Required Skills

• 7-15 years of development experience with proven ability to write optimized, efficient, and clean code.
• Core Java, Java EE, Spring/SpringBoot, Web Services, Relational databases
• Experience with UI development frameworks (preferably Angular, React, etc)
• Experience with AI coding assistants like copilot, using Agent mode, Skills, etc for software development, automation, reporting, or analytics.
• Demonstrated experience in designing complex, large-scale distributed systems and microservices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
• Strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and clear communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to write thorough unit tests covering all major logic components, preferably using coding assistant.
• Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives and understand the financial aspects of technology decisions.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipeline management, containerization, observability tools.
• Understanding of serverless architecture
• Competency with source control systems (preferably git), CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, ensuring streamlined development processes.
• Exposure to JIRA or other ALM tools
• Basic understanding of Linux and Shell scripting
