Job summary

AltConvey, an AI-native platform for private equity workflows, is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a hybrid Montreal team. You will lead, architect, and scale web applications using React, Vite, Java, Spring Boot, and MongoDB in a fast-paced startup environment.

You will own end-to-end features, collaborate with leadership, and mentor engineers while leveraging AWS for resilient cloud infrastructure. Strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in full-stack development with leadership experience.
• Expert React and Vite.*
• Java and Spring Boot for enterprise-grade solutions.
• MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
• AWS deployment and optimization.
• Git, Docker and CI/CD proficiency.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Startup experience or Agile/DevOps exposure is a bonus.

AltConvey has supported over $2.1 billion in limited partnership transfers, with solutions from portfolio staging to post-closing. Our aim is to digitize secondary market workflows end-to-end, allowing AI to handle routine tasks while humans focus on critical decisions.

What You'll Do

As Tech Lead, you'll partner directly with our CTO to architect, build, and scale transformative web applications in a fast-paced, innovative environment. Your role will empower you to:

• Lead the development team, guiding engineers through project lifecycles and ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop and optimize robust front-end and back-end systems using React, Vite, Java, Spring Boot, and MongoDB, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Own end-to-end product features, from ideation to deployment, delivering high-quality, maintainable code that sets industry standards.
• Seamlessly integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services, while harnessing AWS for resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Influence key architecture decisions, foster innovation, and mentor junior engineers to elevate the team's capabilities.
• Proactively troubleshoot complex issues, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement in a collaborative setting.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 5+ years in full-stack development, with proven leadership in tech teams (3+ years for emerging leads ready to step up).
• Front-End: Expert-level proficiency in React and Vite, with a focus on user-centric design.
• Back-End: Deep expertise in Java and Spring Boot for building enterprise-grade solutions.
• Database: Hands-on experience with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases for handling complex data.
