Your opportunity

Under the general direction of the Manager, Salesforce Services Team, or their designate, you will be part of a dynamic, collaborative and innovative team focused on delivering transformational technology solutions to the University. Through your efforts in this position, you will directly help improve the University’s administrative management and student systems. In this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and implementing technical solutions to support feature enhancements and projects related to Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, Education Cloud and Salesforce products associated with product outcomes. You will achieve these outcomes using configuration, object‑oriented programming for front and back end solutions, Lightning Components / Lightning Web Components Framework, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, SOAP/REST APIs, Flows, Process Builder and related Salesforce development features. You will contribute to Salesforce technical governance, including DevOps practices on the Salesforce platform. You will collaborate with the technical and business stakeholders to ensure that development within the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business, while identifying technical design risks and providing feasibility assessments.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Writing, designing, testing, and modifying programming code
  • Evaluating programming code to ensure it has validity, compatibility, and that it meets appropriate standards
  • Analyzing, recommending, and designing highly complex software architecture
  • Analyzing programming solutions to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards
  • Assessing and determining feasibility of programming requests and requirements
  • Developing and updating architectural framework for highly complex and confidential university‑wide applications, as well as technical application implementation plans
  • Checking that security authorization meets University guidelines and project requirements
  • Developing technical application implementation plans
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
  • Minimum five years Salesforce development experience
  • Experience in implementing and developing in object‑oriented languages like Java or Apex, REST/SOAP webservices
  • Experience designing, testing, implementing and modifying Salesforce configuration changes and ensuring they adhere to industry standards
  • Thorough understanding of Salesforce Sharing and security
  • Proficiency in integrating Salesforce applications with enterprise systems
  • Experience deploying with change‑sets or DevOps tools
  • Proficiency in all aspects of Salesforce Lightning development environment including out‑of‑the‑box automation tools, Apex, Triggers, Visual Force Lightning Components using LWC and SLDS frameworks, data migration approach & tools.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA)
