Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized practical nursing program or equivalent.
  • Current practicing registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the BCCNM.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient needs and strengths.
  • Provide support and promote patient involvement.
  • Contribute to care plans and multidisciplinary meetings.
  • Deliver nursing care as per policies and evaluate outcomes.
  • Handle admissions, discharges, and transfers.
  • Document care and update patient information.
  • Maintain equipment related to patient care.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe environment.
  • Help orient new staff and students.
  • Participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
